BIOGRAPHY

Kamva Nombembe, known professionally as KAMVA, is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Pretoria, South Africa who currently resides in the United States of America, Los Angeles. His skills range from music composition to arrangement, scoring, production, songwriting, and performance.

For as long as he can remember, KAMVA has always loved to sing and perform. As a young boy in Pretoria, he put on shows with elaborate choreography for his family. Now, he is introducing his style, a fusion of pop, R&B, and hip hop, to the world with his single, “Breathe” released on all music streaming platforms.

KAMVA has shared the stage with American gospel artist, Jonathan McReynolds, as well as South African pop star, Lloyd Cele. He also lent his voice to provide background vocals for the Singaporean duo, SLAYN, on their single “Lies and Covers.” KAMVA's musical influences are Chance the Rapper, JP Saxe, and Emily King.

Kamva is passionate about the Word of God and is a follower of Jesus Christ. His music communicates the heart of God from a relational standpoint in a way that is understandable. His songwriting presents the truth of his faith in pleasant packaging, and he hopes his love for Jesus Christ is reflected in his work that appeals to a broad spectrum of people and genres.

Kamva graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Writing and Production.

“I see today’s music as a transitional phase into what will shortly become one of the greatest musical eras of the century because of this generation being birthed from the most influential revolutionaries in history. As musicians today, we are responsible for carrying on the legacy handed to us by history itself.”
